Ohio a Signature Away from Outdoor Refreshment Areas
Just minutes ago, the Ohio House of Representatives approved, accepted and passed the Ohio Senate's amendments to HB 47. The bill will go to Gov. John Kasich for signature, and if signed, will allow certain Ohio cities and townships to file applications for the creation of outdoor refreshment areas. See OBC's previous discussion of HB 47 here.
The bill was passed as an emergency which will allow the City of Cincinnati to apply for the creation of an outdoor refreshment area in time for MLB's All-Star Game on July 14.
Even more interesting, passengers riding on a commercial quadricycle (when certain conditions are met) will be exempt from Ohio's open container law.
